InnerArmor® technology is 'Hollow Cathode Plasma Immersion Ion Processing' (HCPIIP) and applies a Diamond-like Coating to interior surfaces. Licensed from Sub-One, California, ACI Ltd operates two InnerArmor® machines in Aberdeen with a 10ft length capacity. InnerArmor® is the first process capable of applying high performance coatings onto the interior surfaces of parts.
Reduce Costs - InnerArmor® prolongs the life of parts by protecting surfaces from chemical attack, its exceptional hardness protects against erosion and wear reducing maintenance and replacement costs.
Block Corrosion - InnerArmor® films are custom-tailored to be inert in their application environment, be it salt water or acid. Like glass, they have no crystalline grain structure and no porosity so can be applied evenly across long surface areas.
Maximise Flow - InnerArmor® films are extremely hard with an exceptionally low coefficient of friction (up to 0.03), and they repel water. This improves the flow dynamics and reduces line pressure loss increasing fluid transfer efficiency.
Applications involving reciprocating parts such as pistons can be self-lubricated with a Graphitic interface layer applied using the InnerArmor® Coating.
